* WIN+R and type in regedit to open the registry editor
* Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Live\Messenger (for x86 users)
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Live\Messenger (for x64 users)
* Right-click on the right panel and create a new D-WORD, value as 1, name as MultipleInstances
* Done
